The National Leadership Council (NLC) will bring together a network of leaders, community champions, professionals, and volunteers by connecting their local communities to the Hotline’s mission nationwide.

Council members will serve as local ambassadors for The Hotline, hosting peer-to-peer campaigns, organizing community events, and connecting new supporters to our work and mission.

There are two tracks available: Advocacy & Awareness, or Fundraising, allowing members to engage according to their strengths, interests, and capacity.

Our Inaugural Cohort of Council members can expect:

• Clear expectations

• Defined roles

• Measurable fundraising and advocacy outcomes

• Engaging with members from across the country to create a community of support (don’t love that wording – any suggestions are appreciated)

• Meaningful opportunities for participation and engagement

• The opportunity to build a scalable and sustainable volunteer engagement program that will have a lasting impact on The Hotline’s work for years to come.

Council members will receive training, ongoing staff guidance, and opportunities to collaborate with fellow advocates. Plus, members will get a behind-the-scenes look into The Hotline’s work, with opportunities to connect directly with our leadership team.

Applications for the 2027 National Leadership Council (Inaugural Cohort) will be opening fall of 2026. The kickoff meeting will be held in late January of 2027.
