With authority to create policy from within established institutions, these changemakers occupy a unique position that requires special attention be paid to the realities of relationship abuse.
Efforts to end domestic violence have established important protections for people experiencing abuse. Still, a lot of work remains to be done, and it’s essential for our local and federal leadership to continue raising awareness about the urgency of the issue.
