Target

Target has supported the National Domestic Violence Hotline since 1997, providing nearly $2 million in cash and in-kind support.  In 2005, Target received The Hotline’s distinguished Vital Link Award for outstanding support for ending domestic violence nationally.  Target became The Hotline’s Diamond Sponsor for all 10th Anniversary events, including the Decade for Change Summit and the 10th Anniversary Called to Make a Difference Gala. In 2007, The Hotline call center was renamed the Target Advocate Response Center in recognition of Target’s redesign and renovation of our facility.  The beautiful new center incorporates state of the art ergonomics and aesthetics to support the work of the Advocates who respond to crisis calls for the 24/7 Hotline.  In 2009, Target provided $200,000 to The Hotline in recognition of this year’s economic downturn, which has resulted in increased demand for services in the face of declining gift revenues.  The Hotline salutes Target for its remarkable leadership in corporate social responsibility to prevent domestic violence.

Target is committed to making communities better places to live. That’s why Target gives 5% of their income to support education, the arts and social services. For more information about Target’s Community Outreach, click here.
