Rashmi,

It takes so much courage to tell your story and ask for help.It is important to know that you have rights in this country and that there is help available. If you are able to make any phone calls please call The National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. The Hotline is available 24 hours a day and advocates can get an interpreter that speaks your language if you feel more comfortable speaking in your own language as well as locate resources in your area.

Hello Rashmi,

I recently relocated back home to Pa from Texas with my three children leaving behind my abusive husband. I am not sure of your resources but in Texas our 8 year old daughter called the police and i had him arrested and pressed charges. This is something that you may want to look into. The state of Texas paid to relocate me and my children. You can possibly go to a domestic abused shelter. Please get out as soon as possible. Even though you have no family here trust and believe that you are NOT alone. There is a community here of people who understand what you are going through! I am praying that you are able to leave as soon as possible. Press charges if you can and leave!
